Program Introduction

2023 Experience Diverse China Summer Program, which lasts for four weeks, will offer three teaching modules: Chinese study, city exploration and culture experience. It will take you to walk around in dynamic Shanghai and Chengdu, to experience the Chinese society and culture, and to explore business opportunities in China. It aims at developing your multiple perspectives and improving your comprehensive Chinese proficiency.

Program Itinerary

Program Duration: July 17th - August 11th, 2023

Program Features

√ Professional Chinese class: The courses are given in the form of small group instruction, tailored to your Chinese level and learning objectives, can help to improve your comprehensive Chinese ability in a short time.  

√ On-site situational teaching: Students can learn language and culture through real experience and practice, which can stimulate their learning interest and deepen their understanding of the knowledge.

√ One-on-one tutoring: Students can apply for one-on-one tutoring during the teachers’ office hours every week to get personalized tutoring.

√ City exploration: Teachers will take students to walk around some scenic spots in Shanghai to explore the local urban culture. What’s more, a four-day tour of Chengdu will be offered as an voluntary option.

√ Culture experience: The program will carry out a variety of activities, such as intangible cultural heritage skills experience, business visit, Chinese medicine experience, etc., which will let you feel the charm of Chinese culture and deepen your understanding of Chinese society.

√ Certificate of Completion: Official electronic transcripts and completion certificate will be issued to students who successfully complete the course at the end of the program.

Program Fees

1. Application fee: 400 RMB

2. Tuition fee: 6000 RMB

*The tuition fee includes teaching materials, culture experience and city exploration activities, excluding the four-day tour of Chengdu.

3. Four-day tour of Chengdu: about 3500 RMB

*Go and back by high-speed railway

*The scenic spots include Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding, Sanxingdui Museum, Kuanzhai Alley, Du Fu Thatched Cottage Museum, etc.

*The fee includes transportation, tickets, accommodation and some meals. The fees may change due to the prices at that time.

If you want to live on campus, the fees are as follows:

Standard Double Room: 100 RMB/person/day, share with a roommate, air-con, free internet, restroom

Economic Double Room: 60 RMB/person/day, share with a roommate, air-con, free internet, public restroom

Eligibility

18-55 years old, in good physical condition, with a valid foreign passport
