On April 19th-23rd, 80 international students from ECNU Intensive, Business and GCP Chinese programs went to Xiamen and Guilin for the field trip of “Second Class” language activity. Before the start of the investigation, the students did a very detailed and careful planning. Full of expectations, they started the cheerfully activated trip to Xiamen and Guilin.
Through the 4 days of schedule, the students have toured Jimei scenic resort, Chen Jiageng former residence, the Hakka tower, Hulishan Fortress, Nan Putuo Temple and Zen Cuo’an ancient town.
The communication between the tradition and modernity, the fusion of realistic and romantic has run through the whole journey. All the students have experienced the charm of the city during this trip and also fit the theme of the language activity.
The field trip lasted 5 days, they went to see the beautiful scenery of Lijiang, Yulong River and everyone did a boatman rowing in person, enjoyed a riot of colours of the stalactite Silver Cave. Seeing the grand Longji rice terrace, and the journey to the Gudong, many of them experienced the first time in life climbing the waterfall.
Students listened, while watching, felt the landscape of this area of Guilin tourism and natural scenery of the humanities with no distance. All the way full of laughter, full of harvest, and it is solely a rewarding journey.
