Intensive Chinese Training Program

Unique Program

Duration: one semester or more
Class periods: Mon.~ Fri., 30 class hours a week(45min/class hour)
Beginning: mid February and early September
Application deadline: Jan. 10 (Spring semester) Jul. 31 (Fall semester)
Curriculum introduction:
This is an intensive program, intended for those looking for quick progress in Chinese, and therefore will meet the needs of people who plan to learn the most Chinese in the shortest period of time. This intensive training class puts equal emphasis upon enhancing the listening, speaking, reading and writing skills, aiming to let the students gain an all-round and integrated acquisition of the communication skills in mandarin.
Levels:
Beginner’s &Intermediate & Advanced (The teaching of all the levels will be small-class type.)
The applicants will be given a placement test as the reference for your present level at the beginning of the semester.
 
 
Core courses for preliminary level:

Intensive reading
Pinyin and basic vocabulary&grammar. A good command of the principles of the characters’ framework and pronunciation. Possession of the capability of writing certain number of the characters. Have conversations with the Chinese people on regular topics.
Drills
Good command and application of the syntax.
Spoken Chinese
FFunction-oriented, the course is aimed to enable the students to
aarticulate appropriate words and sentences that accord with specific
ssituations.

A better sense of the language, commanding more difficult and complicated sentence structures.
HSK tutorial
Get to know the requirements and knacks for the HSK test. Reach the intermediate level of HSK.
Spoken Chinese
Better communication skills with higher level of accuracy and felicity. Make flexible use of the language.

Goals
Intensive reading
Make conversations on serious and profound topics, talking in a more idiomatic manner with less than 10% inaccuracy.
HSK tutorial
Get to know the requirements and knacks for the HSK test. Reach the advanced level of HSK.
Spoken Chinese
Achieve an overall enhancement of students’ listening and oral capabilities.The multi-media means like news and movies will be conducted to extend the students’ vision.
Chinese Writing
Inform students of different genres and styles of Chinese writing, for instance, essays and such of practical use as letters, annoucements.etc.
Diverse activities
We will build up a genuine Chinese cultural environment for all the students to motivate and enhance their language learning, arranging free field trips to historical sights and varieties of activities like celebrations of traditional Chinese festivals, debating competition, singing contest, sports meet, etc.
