The 3rd Traditional Chinese Culture Carnival was successfully held by Global Education Center. This carnival has set up 10 cultural experience themes, bringing an immersive journey of traditional Chinese culture for students from all over the world.

1. Folk Games: Joyful Participation

In the traditional culture experience zone, laughter and joy filled the air. Guided by teachers, students tried their hand at shuttlecock kicking, iron ring rolling, hopscotch, and top spinning, experiencing the charm and wisdom of Chinese folk games.

2. Tea Fragrance: Serene and Profound

Ms. Yu Yan and Shu Xiaowei introduced the types of Chinese tea and brewing etiquette. Students personally brewed and tasted tea, savoring the Oriental philosophy embodied in "tea mirrors life."

3. Witty Dialogues: Laughter through Crosstalk

The crosstalk club presented classic performances, winning applause. In a lively atmosphere, students learned to play clappers and the humorous expressions of the Chinese language, with the venue echoing with laughter and clapping.

4. Ancient Melodies: Strings Convey Emotions

The classroom transformed into an "Eastern concert hall." The art troupe performed traditional instruments like the pipa, guzheng, and morin khuur. Students took turns trying their hand, as the flowing music transported everyone into a poetic Eastern landscape.

5. Shadow Puppetry: Intangible Heritage Comes Alive

With a light screen and flickering shadows, Yin Zhiping demonstrated shadow puppetry and taught students the art of crafting puppets. Students picked up brushes to depict characters, soaking in the unique charm of intangible cultural heritage.

6. Mahjong: Strategy and Wit

The click-clack of mahjong tiles filled the air, a battleground of strategy and intelligence. After teachers explained the rules, students gathered around tables, engaging in the fun and tactics of Chinese mahjong through "chi," "peng," and "hu."

7. Chinese Knotting: Blessings Woven by Hand

With deft hands and shuttling threads, students crafted exquisite Chinese knots, weaving blessings and creating unique Eastern memories.

8. Brush, Ink, Paper, Inkstone: The Flow of Art

Amidst the rich aroma of ink, teachers demonstrated brush-holding techniques and explained Chinese character structure. Students picked up brushes and experienced the tranquility and power of calligraphy.

9. Dialects Across China: A Tapestry of Sounds

Classrooms echoed with the sounds of various Chinese dialects—Shanghai's "nong hao," Sichuan's "ba shi," Northeast's "de jinr," and Henan's "zhong bu zhong." Students mimicked with interest, gaining a vivid sense of China's diverse regional cultures amid laughter.

10. Chinese Cuisine: A Feast of Flavors

The kitchen buzzed with enticing aromas. Under the chef's guidance, some students prepared and wrapped dumplings of various shapes, while others observed the making of classic dishes like "tomato and egg stir-fry" and "Kung Pao chicken." Everyone then enjoyed the delicious fruits of their labor together.

The Traditional Chinese Culture Carnival was rich in content and diverse in form, so that the seeds of culture took root in the hearts of students. From folk games to intangible cultural heritage skills, from the fragrance of tea tothe elegance of music, this carnival was not only a cultural experience, but also a deep conversation on perceiving China through body and mind.
