Pokara: Pakora is a fried snack. It is found throughout South Asia, especially Pakistan, India and Bangladesh. Mostly, the vegetables are floured and then fried in oil. Pakora takes its name from the vegetable used to make potato pakoras, onion pakoras, spinach pakoras, etc.

Chai (milk tea): Pakistan is a country that likes to drink tea very much, but Pakistan hardly produces tea, so it maily relies on imports. Pakistan's tea import volume ranks third in the world. Pakistan is an Islamic country. More than 95% of the people believe in Islam. People are forbidden to drink alcohol, so they like to drink milk tea.

Thai Cuisines Session

Date: November 25th (Fri.) 3-5PM

Location: Physics Building 1F, Zhongbei Campus

Sago Cake with Coconut Milk: It is a delicious Thai dessert with slightly sweet sago on the bottom and thick coconut milk on the top. The sago cake is a mixture of coconut and grass flavors with a soft and poppy texture, and the filling inside the sago is most commonly taro and sweet corn.

Bua Loy: Bua Loy is a very popular Thai dessert that is easy to find at Thai street food stalls and some Thai restaurants. The name Bua Loy literally means "floating lotus" because rice balls float on top when cooked. Thais use only natural materials as colors. The common colors of Bua Loy are green (from pandan leaves), blue (from butterfly pea flowers), light purple (from taro), and yellow (from pumpkin).
