Conclusion

On June 15th, the International Student Union (ISU) of East China Normal University held its annual members meeting for the 2022-2023 session at International Students Community (Physics Building 4th floor) and about 60 students attended the event.

During the one-year term of this ISU session (August 2022 to June 2023), a total of 27 series of events with more than 50 activities were organized, with a total participation of up to 1400 international students. The present President, Yang Bo (Singapore), Head of Education and Development, Zhou Zihan (Pakistan), Head of Employment and Entrepreneurship, Zina Ba (Yemen), Head of Life and Growth, Zhang Tingfu (Panama), Head of Overseas Department, Jicun Minghui (Japan), reviewed the departmental work of the past year for all attending international student members and teachers from international education centers.

Farewell

In the 2023 ISU, there is a special department called "Overseas Department". It has been with us through many wonderful times, and now, with the opening of borders, we have to say "goodbye". Goodbye is not the end, but the beginning of the next reunion.

In this special graduation season, we together bid farewell and wish the 8 ISU graduates the best. We hope that everyone can grow like graduation flowers, like sunflowers, shining and radiating warmth in the sunlight.

Awards

After voting and discussing the annual comprehensive performance, the ISU outstanding members of this year were selected. Deputy Director Wang Gang from the Global Education Center awarded them with certificates of honor.

Lee Sang and Tsang Heng Yi, as outstanding members, expressed their thoughts and experiences during their time at ISU. Lee Sang gained job-related skills through activities organized by the Employment and Entrepreneurship Department of ISU and received a full-time job offer from miHoYo.

Tsang Heng Yi gained a deeper understanding of the behind-the-scenes of campus activities through collaboration with the Overseas Department and other departments.

New Generation

On the journey of ISU, each member holds a ticket, which serves as a pass for everyone to embark on this colorful campus adventure. And now, as a group of members are about to get off the train, new members are ready to board this continuing train, who are full of energy, ready to create a more exciting campus life for international students.

Prospect

Director Huang expressed her appreciation and gratitude to all the 2023 ISU members for their ability to balance their studies and successfully complete various campus activities in a challenging year. For international students around the world, East China Normal University is one of the top choices. "ECNU, the most impressive!" It is because of this group of awesome ISUers that ECNU can become even greater! Director Huang hopes that the new ISU team can bring a more diverse and enriching study abroad experience for international students at ECNU with a fresh perspective.
