YAMASHITA KYOKO, a Janpanese student who’s doing her master in the School of Psychology and Cognitive Science of East China Normal University. Kyoko is one of many volunteers for the Winter Olympics. After nearly a month of training, she came to Zhangjiakou Winter Olympic Village and began her busy work.

Referring to the reason why she came to volunteer, she said: "I really want to win honor for the country where I grew up and do something within my ability, so I signed up when I heard the notice. My friend also said that I had witnessed history." YAMASHITA said with a smile, "in fact, I was hesitant at that time, because it was too long, nearly five months. But my family encouraged me to come and said that there might be only this rare opportunity in life. My mother and grandmother are Chinese and my father is Japanese. They all support me."

For this event, YAMASHITA expressed her blessings and expectations: "Cheer for our Chinese athletes! I also hope that people can not only cheer for athletes, but also pay more attention to snow sports. We look forward to more people joining snow sports!"
