In accordance with the Administrative Measures for Chinese Government Scholarships and other relevant requirements, the notice regarding the application for extension of the Chinese Government Scholarship funding period at our university in 2026 is as follows:

    Eligible Applicants

    Ph.D. students funded by the Chinese Government Scholarship

    Application Requirements

1. Diligent in study and with good academic performance.

2. Not included in the scholarship program of their sending country for the 2026/2027 academic year.

3. Have passed the 2026 annual scholarship review, completed the research proposal as required by the university, passed the mid-term assessment, and met the university’s academic training requirements.

    Extension Duration

    Only one extension application is allowed, with a maximum extension of one year.

    Application Materials and Procedures

1. Log in to the Graduate System of East China Normal University (https://portal2023.ecnu.edu.cn/portal/home) to apply for academic status extension (apply for extension by semester).

2. Log in to the CSC Information System (https://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn) to submit:

• 2026 Chinese Government Scholarship Annual Review Form (submitted by April 26, 2026)

• Application for Extension of Scholarship Period for Chinese Government Scholarship Students (one-year extension recommended; submitted by May 15, 2026)

Late applications will not be accepted.
