In the morning of August 8, the graduation ceremony of the “2025 Experience Diverse China” Summer Program was officially launched. The month-long “Experience Diverse China” summer program drew to a successful close for 114 students from 21 countries—including the United Kingdom, the United States, Brazil, Italy, the Netherlands, South Korea, and Japan.

PROGRAM RECAP

Cultural Experiences

In the cultural experience classes, through these three courses—fan painting, Tai Chi, and dough figurine making—the students got to experience the beauty of traditional Chinese culture.

After class, the students also mentioned that they would take the fan paintings and dough figurines they created back home, turning these handicrafts into wonderful gifts from China.

Visting Shanghai

Over the past four weeks, the students visited many famous historical sites in Shanghai, such as Tianzifang, Yuyuan Garden, the Bund, and Wu Kang Building, experiencing the rich historical and cultural heritage of the city.

They also visited Ant Financial (Alipay), witnessing the technological development of domestic modern enterprises and the convenience it brings.

Henan Field Trip

During the four-day trip to Henan, the students had a fruitful experience. They visited sites rich in traditional Chinese history and culture, such as the White Horse Temple, Shaolin Temple, and Yuntai Mountain, and also enjoyed a variety of delicious Central Plains cuisine.

Many students developed a strong interest in Shaolin Kung Fu and said that they would like to practice it themselves after they return to their home countries.

Midsummer Night's Dream

During the program, the GEC hosted a "Midsummer Night's Dream" lawn concert. Students from multiple international programs, both Chinese and international, participated in the concert. Students of different skin colors and nationalities gathered at ECNU to engage in multicultural exchanges, making it one of the most unforgettable activities for the students.

The month just flew by. This fulfilling and unforgettable experience has not only enriched the students' knowledge and broadened their horizons, but also planted seeds of friendship and culture. We believe these precious memories will become the most beautiful moments in everyone's life journey and keep inspiring us to move forward.
