Program Duration: 

February 17th, 2025 - June 20th, 2025 (the first week is orientation week and classes start from February 24th, 2025).

※ 18 weeks in total (the orientation week included). In case of Chinese public holidays and school activities, classes will be suspended. About five weeks before classes begin, students need to register online and take placement test.

Duration:

Class Schedule: 

Monday to Friday 8:30am-11:45am, 4 class hours each session (1 class hour = 45 minutes), 20 class hours per week

Fees: 

Application Fee 800 RMB; Tuition Fee 9800 RMB/semester

Textbooks: 

40 Lessons for Basic Chinese Course, Developing Chinese, China Focus, etc. Teachers will provide a list of textbooks at the beginning of the semester, and students may purchase textbooks based on the list for their classes.

Small Class: Less than 24 people per class.

Various Courses: ECNU outstanding Chinese teaching team, face to face to improve your Chinese with equal emphasis on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

Graded Course: 12 grades of course provided which exactly match students’ Chinese proficiency levels.

Enriched Program: HSK test tutoring, Chinese calligraphy, and other elective courses are offered (separate fee, voluntary enrollment).

Field Trip:  Organized once a semester, and students may voluntarily sign up to enjoy the natural and humanistic landscapes and learn about Chinese society and culture (optional with additional cost).

Auxiliary Resources: Free VIP accounts for Chinese learning application.

Completion Certificate: Transcript and certificate of completion will be issued to students who successfully complete the course.

Refund Rules

If due to personal reasons, a full refund is available for those who give up enrollment and complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures before the semester start date (February 17, 2025 for Spring 2025 semester); 70% refund for those who complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures within the first two weeks after the semester start date; no refund after the first two weeks since the semester start date.

ECNU will provide visa application documents and on campus accommodation application for students of Chinese Language Programs (semester duration), please wait for further notice. For applicants who would join the program from the middle, please kindly note that L visa (tourist visa), M visa (trading visa), and other short-term visas are not acceptted as valid visa to be enrolled to ECNU.
