The 6th ECNU International Students Sports Competition was successfully held yesterday on the track & field. Although it was a rainy day, the students still took an active part in the sports competition. This time, all the items are designed for teams. It provides students with the chance not only to build up their body but also to foster team spirit.The sports competition started from 13:00. Ms. Huang, Meixu (director of Global Education Center) gave a speech on the opening session.
The first item was Tug of War. 17 teams took part in this part. Each team comprises 15 people (at least 5 females). All the teams showed a positive spirit: We will never give up!
Next came the part of Group Rope Skipping. Number of each team’s skipping will be counted and teams with the most skipping in 3 minutes will be the winners. Team from Mongolia won the first prize again. Congratulations!
Penalty Shootout was a new part for International Students Sports Competition and attracted many students. Who would say that women cannot do better than the men? :)
Five dragons crossing the river requires flexibility and wonderful cooperation. Shoulder to shoulder, leg with leg, we are one. Only those who have the best team work can be the fastest.
The last part was Mixed 4×100m Shuttle Relay Race. All the passion of our sportsmen was transferred to speed.
During the competition, friends and classmates of our sportsmen were busy, too. They cheered, took care of their friends and enjoyed the games.
The 6th International Students Sports Competition attracted the most number of participants, compared with previous years. Meanwhile, the competition was still in good order and full of joy. Thanks to all the staff and Chinese volunteers.
