A: East China Normal University is one of China’s key universities under the direct auspices of the Ministry of Education. With two campuses located in Minhang and Putuo ECNU has long been reputed as a “Garden University” for its beautiful campus scenes. The disciplines of Education, Psychology, Geography and Chinese Language& Literature of ECNU are among the tops in China. The university is one of the eight State Bases for Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. The International College of Chinese Studies is experienced in teaching Chinese to speakers of other languages.

A: You don’t need to take the admission test if you have already got the HSK certificate. Please submit your high school diploma and transcript for admission. You are required to submit original art works if you apply to the majors in Design and Arts. We will also examine your high school scores in Math if you apply to the School of Psychology &Cognitive Science, School of Finance& Statistics, School of Business and other Schools in Science.

A: HSK-4 for programs in Science, Foreign languages and Chinese as a second language, HSK-5 for programs in Liberal Arts and Business, HSK-3 for the program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages (Foreign students).

A: For those who want to apply to the programs of Chinese as a second language or English major for overseas students, but have no HSK certificate, you can apply to take the Chinese Entrance Exam of ECNU on Jun.24, 2016.

 

A: For Chinese language students who would like to continue your undergraduate study at ECNU, we will offer special financial aid: Application fee and 1000RMB of the tuition fee will be exempted.

 

A: You can apply to the Shanghai Government Scholarship for undergraduate study. For the program of Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages, you can apply to the Confucius Institute Scholarship. We offer ECNU Excellent Freshmen Scholarship for undergraduate programs as well.

A: You may come to the International Students Office to apply if you are in Shanghai or mail all the application documents to the ISO if you cannot come in person. You can also email the electronic files of the required documents to lxs@ecnu.edu.cn. The application deadline is June.15th, 2016.

A: The Transfer Admission Exam for Chinese Language Department will be taken on June.24 and Aug.26, 2016. You are supposed to choose one of the exams to take.
