The program is intended to train seeded teachers of Chinese Language Education for OBOR(One Belt and One Road) countries, introducing Chinese language and Chinese culture in order to promote multi-national understanding and exchanges. The program aims to foster seeded teachers who are engaged in local Chinese language education, contributed to cope with the shortage of highly qualified Chinese teachers in OBOR countries. The program will help to enhance their expertise on Chinese language education, improving their teaching skills so as to enable them to be more confident in their teaching career.
Those who are working as or aspire to be a Chinese teacher and fulfill the following criteria:
1. Age between 22 and 50, with nationality of OBOR-countries;
2. With a bachelor’s degree or above in International Chinese Education or Chinese language or related majors;
3. Engaged in international Chinese education or other related jobs.

2. The introduction of Chinese Society and Conditions
3. Activities of cultural experience
4. Teaching Seminar
5. Teaching practice
The participants who complete the program will be issued with a Certificate of Completion from Shanghai Municipal Education Commission and East China Normal University.
The participants’ application fee and tuition fee will be waivered. The accommodation and meals will also be covered by Shanghai Government Scholarship. The rest of the involved expenses should be paid by the participants themselves.
