Dear scholarship students:
In accordance with the relative requirement of “Measures for Management of Chinese Government Scholarship” and in combination with the current epidemic condition in China and overseas, we hereby give the following notice on the scholarship extension application for 2020-2021 academic year.
I.Chinese Government Scholarship
Non Ph.D. students
For non Ph.D. students who apply for the scholarship extension, they are required to apply to the scholarship accepting institution, except for students in the university independent enrollment program. These students will be included in the number of Chinese Government Scholarship students for 2020-2021 academic year, and these students should be reported to the CSC before accepting the scholarship extension.
2. Ph.D. Students
For Ph.D. students who study hard, have good performance, but fail to complete the study with special reasons, and the scholarship accepting institution cannot add it into the scholarship plan for the new academic year, they can apply to the CSC to extend the scholarship period. Before submitting the application, the students should pass the annual scholarship review of this year and meet the training requirement as the mid-term assessment of the research projects and the opening report. The application for extension is limited to one time and with the maximum of one year.
II.Shanghai Government Scholarship & Confucius Institute Scholarship
Students with Shanghai Government Scholarship or Confucius Institute Scholarship cannot apply to extend the scholarship period.
III. Application Documents for Scholarship Extension
1. Application Form of Extending Scholarship Period of the Chinese Government Scholarship (Extension period should be clarified in the part of reasons of scholarship extension in the form)
2. Acceptance Letter from the Embassy (Only for the bilateral program students. The acceptance letter should clarify that the student is included in the plan of Chinese Government Scholarship for 2020-2021 academic year.)
3. Application Form of Extension of Graduation (Graduate students should complete the form within the online graduate system “研究生系统” in the part of my school roll management “我的学籍”and print it after approval. Undergraduate should submit the Form of School Roll Status “学籍状况确认表”.)
4. Form for Annual Review of Chinese Government Scholarship Status.
Students who apply for the scholarship extension should submit the above application documents before April 30, or the application will not be accepted.
