ABOUT ISU

 The International Students Union (ISU) of East China Normal University is an official student organization guided by the Global Education Center. It is composed of passionate and talented international students from diverse cultural backgrounds around the world.

 Upholding the philosophy of “Inspiring, Striving, United,” ISU operates through Life Development Department, Employment and Entrepreneurship Department, Academic Development Department, and the International Student Clubs Association (ISCA). Together, we provide international students with comprehensive support and services covering various aspects of campus life, health, career, and academics.

RECRUITMENT DEPARTMENTS INTRODUCTION

This recruitment is for the three functional departments of ISU. If you are interested in the International Student Clubs Association (ISCA), you are welcome to join the Club Fair on September 24 to learn more, or directly reach out to the leaders of each club for further information!

Academic Development Dept.

 The Academic Development Department provides academic support to all international students at East China Normal University. It strives to create a positive, dynamic, and collaborative learning environment with academic rigor. At the same time, it helps students overcome language barriers through various initiatives and offers access to abundant learning resources, enabling them to study with greater ease and confidence.

Employment and Entrepreneurship Dept.

 The Employment and Entrepreneurship Department focuses on knowledge, skills, and policies related to employment and entrepreneurship in China. It helps international students prepare for their careers or entrepreneurial paths from multiple perspectives before graduation. The department also supports students in gaining deeper self-understanding, building clear career awareness, staying updated on industry trends, exploring opportunities across different fields, and planning their campus life more effectively.

Life Development Dept.

   The Life Development Department is dedicated to supporting the overall well-being and personal growth of international students during their time at the university. It contributes to building a supportive living environment, offering guidance on life safety, mental health, and wellness. The department also enriches students’ extracurricular experiences by encouraging hobbies, social skills, and sports activities. Beyond services, it welcomes open exchanges and discussions with students, hoping to bring joy and positivity through its work.

What You Will Gain by Joining ISU

Diverse Skill Development

 By joining ISU, you will take part in organizing a wide range of on and off campus activities, serving international students and helping them solve real-life problems. Through this process, you will gain practical skills such as event planning, promotional design, and social communication, skills that contribute to your personal growth and enrich your campus life experience.

Leadership Enhancement

   As a member of the ISU executive team, you will take responsibility for coordinating departments or team members. This role provides you with valuable opportunities to develop leadership, interpersonal coordination, and multitasking skills, while learning how to manage effectively and collaborate efficiently within a team.

   Beyond the work, ISU also offers a variety of team building activities and memorable everyday moments. Here, you will meet like-minded peers from all around the world, create lasting campus memories together, and build sincere, long term friendships.

We Expect You To Be

1、An international student at East China Normal University during the 2025–2026 academic year

2、Good Chinese language proficiency, able to handle daily communication
