Winter Solstice, one of the 24 Chinese solar terms, marks the shortest day and longest night in the Northern Hemisphere, usually in late December. It is an important festival in ancient China to worship ancestors, but also a warm time for family reunion to taste food (different customs in different places), so there is a Chinese ancient saying "Winter solstice is as important as a New-Year".

The winter wind blows across the campus, but it can't stop our passion for the party, We will gather together in the International Exchange Service Center to spend the Winter Solstice with food and fun to carry our tribute and inheritance to tradition!

Across China, different regions have their own unique food traditions for the Winter Solstice.In the South, families enjoy Tangyuan (glutinous rice balls), sweet and chewy, symbolizing reunion and happiness. In the North, Jiaozi (dumplings), warm and comforting, are filled with the taste of home and affection. Each dish carries precious memories.

Jiaozi Making: Make dumplings by hand and experience the warmth of home and the joy of the festival.

Tangyuan Making: Enjoy the fun of making Tangyuan and savor the sweetness and happiness of reunion.

Sweet Potato Soup: Taste the traditional Southern Winter Solstice sweet soup, soft, sweet, and warming for both the heart and stomach.

Osmanthus Wine and Rice Wine: Sip the refreshing sweetness of winter and enjoy the smooth, nostalgic taste of traditional wine.

Tea Brewing Around the Stove: Gather around the stove, enjoy a leisurely tea session, and experience the warmth and comfort of winter sunshine.
