What is this forum about?
The International Students Union (ISU) will hold a forum on 4/10 about Employment and Business opportunities for international students in China. This forum serves to empower international students by showcasing success stories and insights from industry experts who are working in China. Through experiences shared by these speakers, the forum aims to inspire and provide practical advice to students on navigating the Chinese job market and entrepreneurial landscape.

Introduction of Speakers
Jonathan Xu, Director of Business Development at Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai
Jonathan Xu, ECNU Chinese language student in 2015 and 2016, founded his own consulting company in Chengdu, Sichuan Province. In 2023 he took on the role of Director of Business Development at the Benelux Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai. He oversees Business Development projects, manages Company Branding & Market Entry etc. Furthermore, Jonathan facilitates business and academic exchanges between China and the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg region.
Lyazzat, Previous Department Manager at Shanghai STEP Electric Corp, Now Running Her Own Company
Originally from Kazakhstan, Lyazzat came to China to finish his bachelor and master degree here. After graduation, she worked in Shanghai New Star Electric Co., Ltd., where she was promoted to department manager four years later. During the pandemic, Lyazzat left the company and moved across industries, but found that she was losing the experience accumulated in the previous years. Therefore, she made up her mind to start a business and use her advantages to return back to the elevator industry.
Rebecca Xu, Senior Employment Consultant at AnyHelper
Rebecca Xu, senior employment consultant at Anyhelper, focuses on providing professional guidance on visa applications and employment solutions for foreigner. She pays attention to the special needs of international students, providing targeted career planning services. She has designed and implemented targeted employment programs, successfully assisted nearly a hundred international students to successfully find employment in China after graduation, and helped with their rapid integration into the local society and work environment.
