"As the saying goes:Nature is the quintessential artist, with the 24 solar terms as her sublime masterpiece."The resplendent natural world is the epitome of artistic excellence. Ancient Chinese observed meteorology, animals and plants and summarized the 24 solar term. From the beginning of spring, marked by the vernal equinox, to the final days of winter, heralded by the slight cold, each solar term exhibits a distinctive allure, showcasing the vitality and splendor of nature.

To help you have a comprehensive knowledge of world's intangible cultural heritage, 24 solar terms, the International Students Union (ISU) is going to organize a series of events, inviting you to  learn the characteristics and customs of the solar term, and create the solar term paintings you know.

Lectures: We will invite experienced speaker to divulge the profound insights into the genesis, characteristics, essence, and cultural significance of the 24 solar terms. This exclusive opportunity offers you a rare chance to gain an enriched understanding of Chinese traditional culture. In addition to this unique experience, we are thrilled to unveil other lectures, including captivating artistic creation lectures, which will immerse you in a world of intriguing content.

Solar Term Carnival & Outdoor Experiences: In addition to the accumulation of knowledge from lectures, we will also prepare a series of unique and wonderful activities, including solar term carnival, outdoor experience, etc., so that you can experience the customs in person to observe the characteristics and connotation of the 24 solar terms in an experiential way.

Co-creation with Special Kids: In this event, ISU will cooperate with Shanghai Jing'an Jun'ai Public Welfare to provide a platform for international students and special children to create artwork together, and use artistic works to show the integration of Chinese and internationals.

Artwork Exhibition: If you have artisitc talents or if you are interested in painting, we cordially invite you to participate in our upcoming series events of solar terms artwork creation to show your artistic talent and creative ability! The outstanding artworks will be displayed in the 24 Solar Term artwork exhibition at the ECNU International Cultural Festival in Nov this year.
