Do you want to experience the fascinating charm of the Chinese language and dubbing art?

Now, the Chinese Dubbing Contest, menticulously prepared by the ISU Academic department, is about to kick off.

Hurry and be a part of this exciting linguistic carnival which filled with boundless fun and exhilarating challenges!

Preliminary round (online)

   Contestants are required to scan the QR code to register either individually or in groups before May 14th, and submit their self-prepared dubbing videos (3-5 minutes in duration) to the official email of the ISU. The organizer will score the contestants based on aspects such as pronunciation accuracy, naturalness of intonation, and fluency of lines. Then, 10 groups of contestants with higher scores will be selected to enter the final round.

Final round (on site)

   Phase1: The advanced contestants should prepare the dubbing segments by themselves and present them on the day of the final. Each group will have 5 minutes, including the introduction of the work and the vedio presenting.

   Phase2: The organizer will prepare the dubbing segments. The representative of each group will need to draw a segment with a serial number on the spot and start the presentation in order.

Solicit votes

   Every contestants can solicit votes from the judges and the audience.

Requirements for dubbing videos    

(1) The selected dubbed video can be stitched together by a single or multiple short films.

(2) High quality video with clear sound, and be accompanied by subtitles.

(3) Language of the original video is not restricted, but the final submission should be dubbed in Chinese.

(4) No limitation on the genre (movies, TV dramas, animations, stage plays...).

(5) Style should be casual and humorous (you can make creative adaptations to the original clips on your own).

(6) The content should be civilized and healthy, without any harmful dissemination effects, etc.

Rating & Rewards

   The competition will calculate the individual scores of all participants based on the judges' scores (60%) and audience votes (40%). The list of winners will be announced on site, and certificates of honor and prizes will be awarded.
