On the afternoon of October 18th, the first cultural activity of Global Education Center - sachet making skill experience was successfully held. This activity specially invited Ms. Chen Xingzhi, the representative inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage sachet making technique in Minhang District, Shanghai, to guide and teach. Over 60 international students from more than 10 countries, including Japan, South Korea, Russia, Indonesia, and the United States participated in the event.

At the beginning of the activity, the inheritor, Ms.Chen Xingzhi, introduced the origin, production skills, spice formula and other knowledge of sachets to international students. As an auspicious decorative pendant, sachet not only carries people 's expectation of health and safety, but also is the crystallization of intangible cultural heritage. It is the perfect combination of traditional aesthetics and traditional Chinese medicine culture. Under the careful guidance of the inheritor 's teacher, the students started the ' incense-seeking journey '. We give full play to their creativity, wake up the ' five senses ', experience the charm of intangible cultural heritage, and carefully sew out a beautiful sachet.

Chen Xingzhi, the inheritor, acknowledged and praised the finished products of the students. She encouraged the students to do more in the future and feel the beauty of the intangible cultural heritage. Students also expressed their love and gratitude to ' Granny Sachet ' Chen Xingzhi.

After the event, three classmates, Tiffany from the UK, Elizabeth from Russia, and Maru Ichiro from Japan, showed us their own sachets and decided to take them back as a souvenir. Students immersed themselves in the charm of Chinese intangible cultural heritage skills through this activity, felt the breadth and depth of Chinese traditional culture. Let’ s look forward to the next wonderful activity!
