Nearly 100 students from Intensive & Business Chinese Programs participated in special sessions of Chinese language and culture on May,23rd. Global Education Center designed a full package of courses with the themes of “Shanghai Dialect”, “Chinese Paper-cutting”, “Chinese Idioms”, “Chinese Movie”, “Lecture on Chinese Modern Society”, among which, each student could choose two courses to attend based on their own interests.
This new form, stimulating the students’ great motivation to learn more about Chinese as well as giving them a different perspective to understand the Chinese culture. It is quite favored by all of the students. Having obtained this successful experience, from next semester, Global Education Center will manage this special “Theme Courses” in a new way.
