On Jun. 1st, the closing ceremony of 9th “Shanghai Summer School—The Diplomats' Program” was successfully held. This program is jointly sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal Government, and organized by East China Normal University. So far over 400 officials from nearly 60 countries’ consulates in Shanghai have participated in this program. It has won a great fame among the consulate cohort.

This year, the program also achieved a big success with the high quality Chinese courses, diverse cultural activities, like “Culture Fair: Explore Dragon Boat Festival”, “Chinese Tea Ceremony” and lectures on “All about the Meaning: Auspicious Motifs in Chinese Traditional Culture” and “The Problem of China” by Russell and ”the Russell Problem” Concerning China, etc.

This year’s program has a perfect ending with the final event-“Mandarin Show”. The Diplomats’ Program is of large significance to promote the cultural exchanges and friendship among different people.
