2020/2021 MOE Outstanding International Students Scholarship Selection

To encourage diligent study and inspire infinite pursuit of knowledge, the Ministry of Education (MOE) has now started the 2020/2021 Outstanding International Students Scholarship Award Process. Detailed information are as follows:

l Fixed Quota 6 students（Self-financed undergraduate and graduate students）

Qualified Applicants:

Self-financed ECNU undergraduate or graduate students in the 2nd year or above.

Award Criteria:

Provide award and Certificate of Honor.

Undergraduate award RMB 18,000 /person

Graduate award RMB 30,000 /person

l Variable Quota 3 students（ONLY Chinese Government Scholarship students）

Qualified Applicants:

ECNU degree students with Chinese Government Scholarship who registered in the 2nd year or above.

Award Criteria:

Provide only Certificate of Honor.

I. Eligibility

1. Friendly attitude towards China and outstanding performance when studying in China.

2. Law-abiding, physically and mentally healthy, all-round development. No in-school punishment was received during the school period.

3. Excellent academic performance, with strong learning and research capabilities. NO Fail in any required courses or optional courses.

4. Actively participate in the practice activities organized by the school or society; Make efforts to broadcast the Chinese Culture and Chinese & Foreign Culture exchanges; Contribute to the public welfare affairs. Those whose achievements have been reported or received the wide public attention are prioritized.

5. Under the same conditions, families with financial difficulties are prioritized.

II. Application materials

1) Application Form for Chinese Government Scholarship

Please log into the online CSC Registration Platform of http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn to submit the electronic documents.

Notice：

The agency No. of ECNU is 10269

The program category should be Type C

The study period should be 2020.9.1-2021.7.15

After submitting the online application, please submit the hard copies and the application form to Global Education Center (GEC).

2) 2019-2020 School transcript (generated by the educational system and stamped with official seal);

3) Recommendation letter from applicant’s department;

4) Essay: My story of studying in China; Content should include the memorable moments or stories during the study life in China. To inspire more international students, your own feelings and experiences are expected. Written language is English or Chinese, no less than 800 words.

5) Graduate applicants should provide the academic publication achievements:

l Table of published academic papers (download from http://lxs.ecnu.edu.cn )

l Article's retrieval certificate, accepting letter (other papers that are not as supporting materials reported) or other proofs of participate in the patent.

l Copy of the published article front page (including title, key words, abstract and etc.) or cover and title page of monographs.

6) For all types of state-level, provincial and municipal competitions. A copy of the winning certificate or patent certificate.

7) A certificate of student cadres or associations.

8) Other supporting materials like personal-related reports.

1. Submit the electronic application on CSC Registration Platform (http://studyinchina.csc.edu.cn)

3. Students who are in China, please submit the hard copy to GEC office.

Overdue application or supplemental documents will not be accepted.
