On Jun. 9th, the closing ceremony of 8th “Shanghai Summer School—The Diplomats' Program” was successfully held. This program is jointly sponsored by Shanghai Municipal Education Commission, Foreign Affairs Office of Shanghai Municipal Government, and organized by East China Normal University. So far around 400 officials from more than 50 countries’ consulates in Shanghai have participated in this program. It has won a great fame among the consulate cohort.

This year, the program also achieved a big success with the high quality Chinese courses, diverse cultural activities, like seal carving, calligraphy, Tai-chi and lecture on “What’s New Era in China”. This year’s program has a perfect ending with the final event-“Mandarin Show”. The Diplomats’ Program is of large significance to promote the cultural exchanges and friendship among different people.
