In October 2019, the wonderful cultural activities from ECNU GEC programs came again in the expectation of students. They experienced many kinds of Chinese culture, like calligraphy, fan painting, tea ceremony, dumplings making, folk dance, kungfu, Yue Opera, etc. 1. Mahjong "Peng", "Gang", "Chi", "Hu la!"... In the voice of mahjong term, students experienced this cultural and recreational activities loved by the whole Chinese people. It's really interesting! 2. Tea Ceremony Know, smell, make and taste tea. This is us, a group of international students from various countries are experiencing all this here. We enjoyed a splendid afternoon! 3. Dumpling Making Round, chubby, long and smooth... You are right. These dumplings with different shapes are made by us! They are good-looking and tasty! 4. Calligraphy When Chinese people describe other's calligraphy skills, they will say, "your characters are profound and powerful." Although we can't do it now, we also write very well! 5. Chinese Kungfu The gesture and power of the fist and palm can show one's true kungfu skills. This afternoon the teacher show us the authentic Chinese kungfu. Very enjoyable! 6. Fan Painting We have only seen other people draw Chinese paintings before, but today we also experience once. Look, these charming naive pandas, light and beautiful orchids are all painted by us! 7. Folk Dance 8. Yue Opera What is Yue Opera? Can you know a little bit from our gesture? Learn the opera posture with the teacher, play a role with the best friends, now I am the most beautiful person on the stage! This cultural experience activity has ended.
