UN Chinese Language Day--Live Stream Room of ECNUers is coming!
On April 20, 2021, the 12th Chinese Language Day of the United Nations, the “Live Stream Room of ECNUers” organized by East China Normal University was held on this day with great anticipation. Seven international students from ECNU were using Chinese to present what they consider to be good things about China. The exciting presentation also attracted many international students from home and abroad to the live stream room. What are the goodies that attracted such a large audience? Let’s find out!
Halal Cafeteria
Our graduate student, Rahman Habibur from Bangladesh brought the delicious food from the Halal Cafeteria of ECNU. Although the audience can only see the food across the screen, they can't wait to get to the scene and have a feast.
Portable Charger
How will you choose facing a wide variety of portable chargers? Which one is fast charge, affordable and good-looking? Bedareva Viktoriia, a Chinese language student from Ukraine, gave us an accurate assessment.
Walnuts
Who says walnuts can only be eaten? Rory O’Neill from Ireland is a PHD student majored in Chinese Philosophy at ECNU. He unlocked a new function of walnuts for us in the live stream room - playing with them. Seeing his vocal explanation, I really want to buy one right away and try it out.
Mandarin Bite APP
Finally, Abdelrajman from Egypt brought us a Chinese learning app. As a founder of this APP, he introduced us to the main function of the app, HSK words study.
On top of that, the famous uploader “Shan-Shan” introduced us to the instant interactive video site called Bilibili, which is popular among young people. Sports lovers were drawn to Kathryn's live skate park to see her skateboarding. Channarong Saechu from Thailand talked about the convenient and affordable public transportation services in China.
In this live event, the students experienced the sense of achievement of learning Chinese and the fun of being a streamer. They learned Chinese, used Chinese, and introduced the goodies they learned in China to more people.
