Business Chinese Language Program

Program Duration: 

March 2nd, 2026 - June 26th, 2026 (the first week is orientation week and classes start from March 9th, 2026).

Applicants can apply for joining the program in the middle of the semester. Two weeks at least with 1200RMB per week.

※ In case of Chinese public holidays and school activities, classes will be adjusted or suspended.

Duration: one semester or more

Class Schedule:

29 class hours per week (1 class hour = 45 minutes)

Morning: From Monday to Friday 8:30-11:45

Afternoon: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 13:15-15:45

Class opening conditions:

Offering classes from beginning to advanced (Elementary, Intermediate, Pre-Advanced, Advanced), with a minimum of 8 students per level.

*If the conditions for opening classes are not met, students can choose to transfer to Standard Chinese Language program or Intensive Chinese Language Program.

Fees:

Application fee: 800 RMB; tuition fee:15000 RMB/semester; the cost of teaching materials is at your own expense.

Textbook:

BCT Standard Course, A Practical Business Chinese Reader, Erya Chinese, Excel in Chinese, etc.It will be adjusted according to the actual situation. The cost of teaching materials is at your own expense.

• Offer appropriate courses for students of different levels to meet their needs at different learning stages.

• Help students obtain a larger vocabulary and specialized knowledge of business purpose.

• Enhance students' understanding of contemporary Chinese economy and finance through diverse courses.

• Cultivate students' communication skills in business surroundings through various scenario simulations like negotiation, speech, etc.

• Regularly arrange business themed lectures and on-site visits to companies.

Refund Rules

If due to personal reasons, a full refund is available for those who give up enrollment and complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures before the semester start date (March 2, 2026); 70% refund for those who complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures within the first two weeks after the semester start date; no refund after the first two weeks since the semester start date.

ECNU will provide visa application documents for students of Chinese Language Programs (semester duration). For applicants who would join the program from the middle, please kindly note that L visa (tourist visa), M visa (trading visa), and other short-term visas are not accepted as valid visa to be enrolled to ECNU.

The reservation for new students' accommodation is expected to be open in early January 2026. Students who have completed payment of tuition and fees are eligible to apply for on-campus accommodation. The school will accept reservations on a first-come, first-served basis according to the actual availability of rooms. Specific arrangements will be notified by email.
