Standard Chinese Language Program (Enrollment in April)

Target: 

Standard Chinese Language Program (Enrollment in April) is designed for students who plan to enroll in April. Students will be placed into classes of different levels of the Standard Chinese Language Program based on placement test results. The curriculum and weekly class schedule are the same as the Standard Chinese Language Program except for the enrollment date.

Program Duration: 

Mar 31st, 2025 - June 20th, 2025. (March 31 is the registration day, classes start on April 1).

※ 13 weeks in total. In case of Chinese public holidays and school activities, classes will be suspended. Students will be noticed to register online and take placement test before the semester begin.

Class Schedule: 

Monday to Friday 8:30am-11:45am，4 class hours each session (45min=1 class hour), 20 class hours per week.

※ The schedules above are based on Beijing time.

Fees: Application fee 800 RMB; tuition fee 7500 RMB/semester

Textbooks: 40 Lessons for Basic Chinese, Development Chinese, China Focus etc.

• Small Class: Less than 24 people per class.

• Various Courses: ECNU outstanding Chinese teaching team, face to face to improve your Chinese with equal emphasis on listening, speaking, reading and writing.

• Graded Course: 12 grades of course provided which exactly match students’ Chinese proficiency levels.

• Field Trip:  Organized once a semester, and students may voluntarily sign up to enjoy the natural and humanistic landscapes and learn about Chinese society and culture (optional with additional cost).

• Auxiliary Resources:  Free VIP accounts for Chinese learning application.

• Completion Certificate: Transcript and certificate of completion will be issued to students who successfully complete the course.

Refund Rules

1. If due to personal reasons, a full refund is available for those who give up enrollment and complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures before the semester start date (April 1st, 2025 for Spring 2025 semester); 70% refund for those who complete the withdrawal procedures and visa cancellation procedures within the first two weeks after the semester start date; no refund after the first two weeks since the semester start date.
